The Confucius Institute at the University of Latvia successfully held its first Work Conference for the new semester / 拉脱维亚大学孔子学院成功举行新学年首次全体教师工作会议
当地时间2025年9月8日上午十点，拉脱维亚大学孔子学院举行了2025-2026学年新学年开学会议，部署常规工作并对新教师进行岗前培训。中方院长何东教授及院长夫人陶丽萍女士、行政秘书高安娜、院长助理徐申与郭萌冉及14期全体汉语教师参加会议，会议由徐申主持。
会议内容涵盖五个方面。首先，公派教师郭萌冉解读了《汉语教师及教师志愿者条例》，介绍教师奖惩制度与宿舍管理规定，并明确了新闻稿撰写和工作日志等日常要求。随后，行政秘书高安娜老师介绍了2025—2026学年教学安排，包括留任教师分工、各教学点开班情况及新志愿者教师的任教安排。第三部分，郭萌冉老师解读了HSK考试新规，考试将继续采用线下纸质形式，每年举办3至4次，HSK三级及以上需绑定笔试和口试。第四部分由公派教师徐申介绍2025年中秋节暨孔子学院日活动的时间、流程和准备事项。最后，何东院长作总结发言，对新教师提出教学建议，强调“以生为本”，要求重视备课、预案设计和分层教学，课后及时反思并加强交流，同时提醒教师妥善处理各类关系，并注意教学、出行与生活安全。
此次会议全面总结了孔院的工作安排与要求，不仅明确了新学年的教学与活动重点，也为教师们的成长与教学质量的提升提供了指导，为推动汉语教学和中拉文化交流奠定了坚实基础。
At 10:00 a.m. local time on September 8, 2025, the Confucius Institute at the University of Latvia held its opening meeting for the 2025–2026 academic year, outlining routine work arrangements and providing pre-service training for new teachers. The meeting was attended by Chinese Director Professor He Dong and his wife Ms. Tao Liping, Administrative Secretary Anastasija Galkina, Sponsored Chinese teachers Mr. Xu Shen and Mr. Guo Mengran, as well as all 14th-cohort Chinese language teachers. The session was hosted by Mr. Xu Shen.
The meeting covered five main topics. First, Mr. Guo Mengran explained the Regulations for Chinese Language Teachers and Volunteers, outlining the reward and penalty system, dormitory management rules, and daily requirements such as news writing and work logs. Second, Administrative Secretary Anastasija Galkina reported on the 2025–2026 academic year teaching arrangements, including assignments for returning teachers, enrollment and class openings at each teaching site, and teaching assignment for new volunteers teachers. In the third part, Mr. Guo Mengran introduced the new HSK exam regulations, noting that the exams will continue to be administered in paper-based format three to four times a year, with Levels 3 and above requiring combined written and oral tests. The fourth part was presented by Mr. Xu Shen, who outlined the schedule, procedure, and preparations for the 2025 Mid-Autumn Festival and Confucius Institute Day celebrations. Finally, Director Professor He Dong delivered a concluding speech, in which he provided teaching guidance and advice for the new instructors. He emphasized the principle of “student-centered” teaching, the importance of thorough lesson preparation, contingency planning, and differentiated instruction, as well as timely reflection and peer exchange after class. He also reminded teachers to handle professional and personal relationships appropriately and to remain vigilant regarding safety in teaching, travel, and daily life.
The meeting comprehensively summarized the Confucius Institute’s work arrangements and requirements, clarifying the teaching and activity priorities for the new academic year and providing guidance for the growth of new faculty and the improvement of teaching quality. This, in turn, lays a solid foundation for promoting Chinese language instruction and cultural exchange between China and Latvia.
