Confucius Institute Delegation Visits Daugavpils University to Strengthen Chinese Language Education Cooperation / 拉脱维亚大学孔子学院代表团访问道加瓦皮尔斯大学 深化中文教学合作
2025年5月27日当地时间下午1:00拉脱维亚大学孔子学院拉方院长贝德高教授、拉脱维亚大学孔子学院中方院长何东教授携同夫人陶丽萍女士和秘书高安娜女士一同到道加瓦皮尔斯大学孔子课堂进行访问。双方就中文教学合作展开深入交流，并参观了该校新教学楼。此次访问旨在加强两校在汉语推广与文化教育领域的合作，进一步促进中拉人文交流。
下午1时，拉脱维亚大学孔子学院外方院长贝德高教授和中方院长何东教授抵达道加瓦皮尔斯大学，受到该校人文学院院长Mārīte Kravale-Pauliņa女士，主任Ilze Kačāne女士及孔子课堂中文教师葛欣怡的热情接待。代表团首先参观了道加瓦皮尔斯大学新建的教学楼，详细了解该校的教学设施与办学特色。
作为拉脱维亚东部汉语教育的核心枢纽，道加瓦皮尔斯大学孔子课堂自设立以来，已培养数百名汉语学习者，其教学成果多次获得拉脱维亚教育部及中国驻拉脱维亚使馆的高度评价。此次访问中，代表团重点考察了新教学楼内的实验室、体验中心等设施，对该校在现代化教学与沉浸式实践方面的探索表示赞赏。
在随后的座谈会上，双方就中文课程设置、师资培训、文化活动开展等议题进行了深入探讨。拉脱维亚大学孔子学院院长表示，希望未来能进一步拓展合作，为更多拉脱维亚学生提供优质的汉语学习平台。道加瓦皮尔斯大学人文学院院长对此表示赞同，并强调两校合作对推动当地中文教育发展具有重要意义。在座谈会的赠书仪式上，拉脱维亚大学孔子学院外方院长贝德高教授将装帧精美的中拉双语版《唐代诗选》赠予人文学院院长Mārīte Kravale-Pauliņa女士和主任Ilze Kačāne女士。
访问期间，代表团还与道加瓦瓦皮尔斯大学代表共进午餐，在友好氛围中进一步交流合作意向。此次访问为双方未来的深入合作奠定了坚实基础，也为促进中拉文化交流注入了新动力。
At 1:00 PM local time on May 27, 2025, a delegation from the Confucius Institute at the University of Latvia, led by Latvian Director Professor Pēteris Pildegovičs and Chinese Director Professor He Dong, accompanied by his wife Ms.Tao Liping and secretary Ms.Anastasija Galkina, visited the Confucius Classroom at Daugavpils University. The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on Chinese language education collaboration and toured the university’s newly constructed teaching building. The visit aimed to strengthen cooperation in promoting Chinese language and cultural education between the two institutions, further enhancing cultural exchanges between China and Latvia.
Upon arrival, the delegation was warmly welcomed by Daugavpils University’s Faculty of Humanities Dean Ms. Mārīte Kravale-Pauliņa, Department Head Ms. Ilze Kačāne, and Chinese language teacher Ge Xinyi from the Confucius Classroom. The delegation first visited the university’s new teaching building, where they gained detailed insights into its state-of-the-art educational facilities and academic characteristics.
As a key hub for Chinese language education in eastern Latvia, the Confucius Classroom at Daugavpils University has trained hundreds of Chinese language learners since its establishment, with its teaching achievements repeatedly receiving high praise from the Latvian Ministry of Education and the Chinese Embassy in Latvia. During the visit, the delegation inspected the new building’s laboratories and experiential learning centers, commending the university’s innovative approaches to modern teaching and immersive learning practices.
During the subsequent symposium, the two sides held in-depth discussions on Chinese curriculum development, teacher training, and cultural exchange activities. The directors of the Confucius Institute at the University of Latvia expressed their hope to further expand cooperation and provide more Latvian students with high-quality Chinese language learning opportunities.Ms. Mārīte Kravale-Pauliņa affirmed this sentiment, emphasizing the significance of the partnership in advancing Chinese language education in the region. At the book donation ceremony, Professor Pēteris Pildegovičs presented a beautifully bound Chinese-Latvian bilingual edition of Selected Tang Dynasty Poems to Ms.Mārīte Kravale-Pauliņa and Ms.Ilze Kačāne.
The visit concluded with a luncheon, where representatives from both institutions further exchanged ideas on future collaboration in a friendly atmosphere. This visit laid a solid foundation for deeper cooperation and injected new momentum into cultural exchanges between China and Latvia.
