Daugavpils University 2023-2024 Confucius Classroom Closing Ceremony Successfully Concluded道加瓦皮尔斯大学2023-2024年度孔子课堂结业典礼圆满结束

On 14th May 2024, at 1:30 pm Latvian time, Pro.Peteris Pildegovics, the director of the Confucius Institute at the University of Latvia from Latvian side, Pro.He Dong, the director of Confucius Institute at University of Latvia from Chinese side, together with his wife, Ms. Tao Liping and Ms. Anastasija Galkina, Secretary, visited the Confucius Classroom at the Daugavpils University. They also presented certificates and books to the graduating students of the third year of the Confucius Classroom.

At 1:30pm Pro.Peteris Pildegovics and Pro.He Dong met with Ms Mārīte Kravale-Pauliņa, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities of Daugavpils University, Ms Ilze Kačāne, Director of the Faculty of Humanities of Daugavpils University, as well as Song Miaomiao and Ge Xinyi, volunteer teachers of the Confucius Classroom of Daugavpils University, in the cafeteria. The two sides exchanged friendly greetings and exchanges. During the meeting, the two sides discussed the current teaching situation of the Confucius Classroom at Daugavpils University and the possibility of developing Chinese language teaching in Daugavpils in the future. Both sides acknowledged and thanked each other for their contribution to the dissemination of Chinese language and culture, and discussed the similarities and differences between Chinese and Latvian languages and cultures. Pro.Peteris Pildegovics and Ms Ilze Kačāne shared their own experiences in China and their deep feelings about how fast China is developing and how much it is changing. Afterwards, Ms Mārīte Kravale-Pauliņa, Ms Ilze Kačāne and two volunteer teachers led Pro.Peteris Pildegovics, Prof. He Dong, Ms Tao Liping and secretary Ms Anastasija Galkina to the Confucius Classroom at Daugavpils University to present the certificates of completion and books to the students.

At the closing ceremony, Pro.Peteris Pildegovics and Pro.He Dong firstly greeted the students kindly and understood the basic situation of the students. Then Pro.Peteris Pildegovics gave a speech to introduce the development of Confucius Classroom at Daugavpils University and the basic content of the book gift from the Confucius Institute to the students. Pro.He Dong then gave a speech to summarize the students’ Chinese learning at this stage and encouraged them to continue learning Chinese. Pro.Peteris Pildegovics and Pro.He Dong announced the students’ examination results and presented them with their certificates one by one. At the end, a group photo was taken to record the joy of the students’ successful completion of their studies.

Time flies, and the years go by like a shuttle. The 2023-2024 Confucius Classroom Graduation Ceremony of Daugavpils University ended successfully in laughter. All of us have gained a lot from this moment, and graduation also means a new beginning, wishing all the students a bright future.

2024年5月14日当地时间下午1:30拉脱维亚大学孔子学院拉方院长贝德高教授、拉脱维亚大学孔子学院中方院长何东教授携同夫人陶丽萍女士和秘书高安娜女士一同到道加瓦皮尔斯大学孔子课堂进行访问。并为孔子课堂大学三年级毕业学生颁发结业证书与赠书。

下午1:30贝德高教授与何东院长一行在餐厅与道加瓦皮尔斯大学人文学院院长Mārīte Kravale-Pauliņa女士、道加瓦皮尔斯大学人文学院主任Ilze Kačāne女士以及道加瓦皮尔斯大学孔子课堂志愿者教师宋苗苗、葛欣怡会面，双方进行友好的问候和交流。期间双方就道加瓦皮尔斯大学孔子课堂的现阶段教学情况以及道加瓦皮尔斯未来中文教学发展的可能性进行探讨。双方对于彼此在中国语言文化的传播做出的贡献予以肯定和衷心的感谢，对中拉语言和文化的相似性和差异性进行探讨。贝德高教授和Ilze Kačāne女士分享了自己在中国的经历和对于中国发展速度之快，变化之大的深刻感受。随后由Mārīte Kravale-Pauliņa女士、Ilze Kačāne女士和两位志愿者教师带领贝德高教授、何东教授、陶丽萍女士和秘书高安娜女士一同去道加瓦皮尔斯大学孔子课堂为学生颁发结业证书与赠书。

结业仪式上，贝德高教授和何东教授首先对学生们进行亲切的问候，了解学生们的基本情况。然后贝德高教授发表演讲，向学生介绍了道加瓦皮尔斯大学孔子课堂的发展情况以及此次孔子学院赠书的基本内容。随后由何东教授发表讲话，对学生们这一阶段的汉语学习进行总结，并鼓励学生继续学习中文。贝德高教授和何东教授宣布学生们的考试成绩并为其逐一颁发结业证书。最后大家一起合照留念，记录下学生们顺利结业时的愉悦。

时光荏苒，岁月如梭。道加瓦皮尔斯大学2023-2024年度孔子课堂结业典礼在欢声笑语中圆满结束。所有人在这一刻都收获满满，毕业也意味着一个新的开始，祝福所有的学生们都前程似锦。
