The Second Semester’s Chinese Class of Confucius Classroom at Riga Cultures Secondary School Ended

On the evening of May 27, local time, the Confucius Classroom at Riga Cultures Secondary School in Latvia successfully finished the Chinese class of this academic year.

At the beginning of the class, Chinese teacher Li Xin led the students to recall their Chinese learning life this school year. The teacher showed the students’ daily homework performance through the courseware, affirmed the students’ learning achievements, praised their continuous progress in learning, and thanked them for their many surprises and moves. Just after the words of thanks, the students praised and expressed their love. Then the students spoke one by one, summarizing their learning and thanking the teacher for the wonderful Chinese cultural knowledge. They strongly expressed their wishes to learn more Chinese and to travel to China in the future.

Finally, the Chinese teacher played a publicity video on the culture of the Chinese Dragon Boat Festival to let the students learn independently with curiosity and questions. After giving some key words and questions, the teacher guided the students to communicate and learn in groups according to the previous learning mode of culture class. Probably owing to either the excitement of the upcoming holiday or the reason for the last lesson, the students are very active and eager to learn. Perhaps everyone knows that this is not the end of the Chinese class, but a short farewell. There will be more interesting Chinese classes waiting for them in the future!

The online Chinese class of this academic year has come to an end. We are all looking forward to meeting next semester and praying for the early end of the epidemic, so that teacher and students can get together to learn Chinese on-site in the beautiful Latvia !
