Confucius Institute at Latvia University successfully held the online HSK examination in 2021
On Saturday, March 13, 2021, the first annual Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) in Latvia officially started. Affected by the continuous impact of the epidemic, almost all Chinese courses in Latvia have been changed to online teaching, and HSK is no exception. This Chinese Proficiency Test is still an online test. The spring in North Country seems to come lately , but the enthusiasm of Latvian Chinese learners has not diminished, and the number of applicants for this Chinese proficiency test continues to rise. Registration for this HSK will start on February 5, 2021. By March 3, 2021, a total of 27 applicants have registered, 11 more than the last HSK test in 2020. Among them, there are six in Level one , five in Level two, seven in Level three, six in Level four, one in Level five and two in Level six. In the process of HSK, we adhere to the principle of fairness, fairness and openness. We use zoom conference software to record the whole process, and HSK special test software for students to answer questions. During the use of HSK, we can capture the pictures in real time and track the dynamics of the candidates.
The invigilators of this online Chinese Proficiency Test are more cautious and calm on the basis of drawing on previous experience and deficiencies. In order to ensure that candidates can successfully complete the test, the invigilators can calmly complete the invigilation work. At 9:00 p.m. on March 6th, 2021 Beijing time, Professor Shang Quanyu, Director of the Chinese side of the Confucius Institute at Latvia University , actively organized Latvian volunteer Chinese teachers to conduct pre-test training and test arrangement. In addition, zoom conference software and HSK test software were used to conduct mock exams, and personal problems that should be paid attention to were timely reminded after the end of the simulation.
At 14:00 on Saturday, March 13, 2021, all invigilators and candidates of HSK2, 4 and 6 will enter zoom conference software. With the help of the invigilator, each examinee logged into the test system and check whether there is any problem with the equipment used in the examination. Then the invigilator read the instructions and check the the examinees’ information.. At 15:00 PM, HSK2, 4 and 6 started on time . At 18:30 p.m. on the same day, all invigilators and examinees of HSK1, 3 and 5 entered zoom conference software for pre-test inspection. At 19:30 PM Beijing time, the HSK1, 3 and 5 exams also started smoothly. During the exam, the volunteers tried their best to solve the problems in the system and procedures.
With the technical support of Confucius Institute teachers and CTI International, the online Chinese proficiency test was successfully completed. The success of the test would not have been possible without the efforts of the volunteers of Chinese teachers of the Confucius Institute in Latvia, as well as the support of all Chinese learners. In the future, the Confucius Institute at the University of Latvia will continue to strengthen the publicity of the test. 2021年3月13日星期六，拉脱维亚2021年度第一次汉语水平考试（简称HSK）正式开考。受疫情的持续影响，拉脱维亚的汉语课几乎全数改为线上教学，HSK也不例外，本次汉语水平考试仍为线上考试。北国的春似乎来得有些晚，但是拉脱维亚汉语学习者的热情丝毫没有消减，本次汉语水平考试报名人数持续上涨。本次汉语水平考试于2021年2月5日开始报名，截止2021年3月3日，共有二十七人报名，较2020年度最后一次HSK考试增加11人；其中一级六人，二级五人，三级七人，四级六人，五级一人，六级两人。在汉语水平考试过程中坚持公平公正公开的原则，采用zoom会议软件全程录像，HSK专用考试软件供学生答题，使用过程中可以实时抓拍，跟踪考生动态。
本次线上汉语水平考试监考人员在吸取以往经验与不足的基础上多了一丝谨慎与从容，为保证考生能够顺利完成考试、监考人员从容完成监考工作。于北京时间2021年3月6日晚9点，拉脱维亚大学孔子学院中方院长尚劝余教授积极组织拉脱维亚汉语教师志愿者进行了考前培训与考试安排；并使用zoom会议软件与HSK考试软件开展了模拟考试，并在模拟结束后及时提醒考生应注意的个人问题。
北京时间2021年3月13日星期六下午14:00，按照考试要求，HSK2、4、6级所有监考官与考生进入zoom会议软件。在监考官的帮助下各位考生登录考试系统，查验考试所用设备是否出现问题。监考官宣读考试须知，查验考生信息，于下午15:00，HSK2、4、6级准时开考。同日北京时间晚18:30，HSK1、3、5级所有监考官与考生进入zoom会议软件进行考前查验工作。北京时间晚19:30，HSK1、3、5级也顺利开考。考试过程中出现的各项系统和程序问题，志愿者们都竭尽全力为各位考生解决。
