Students from Transport and Telecommunication Institute celebrated Mid-Autumn Festival together

当地时间9月24日，拉脱维亚交通与电信大学汉语初级班举行了一次中秋节文化活动。

汉语教师志愿者王昕借助图片、视频等方式向学生们介绍了中秋节的日期、起源、传说、以及中秋节的主要习俗等，让学生们对中国的中秋节有了一个全面的认识。随后，教师播放了一个纽约路人品尝月饼的视频，并让学生们猜测自己是否会喜欢月饼，待学生们一一回答后，教师便将事先准备好的月饼发给大家，请大家一起品尝。学生们看到月饼后惊喜不已，迫不及待地撕开包装品尝。这一环节不仅拉近了学生和老师之间的距离，同时也进一步加深了学生们对中秋节的了解。

本次活动为教师今后文化课堂的开展奠定了良好的基础，激发了学生们对中国传统文化的兴趣，课后学生们都表示非常期待下一次的中华文化体验课。

On September 24th, local time, Chinese language class in Transport and Telecommunication Institute celebrated the Mid – Autumn Festival.

Teacher Wang introduced the dates, origins, legends, and customs of the Mid-Autumn Festival to the students by videos and pictures, which let the students more deeply understand the Mid-Autumn Festival in China. Later, the teacher played a video about the New York passerby tasting moon cakes and after watching that, the teacher asked the students whether they would like the moon cakes. After the students answered one by one, the teacher gave the prepared moon cakes to everyone. After seeing the mooncakes, the students were pleasantly surprised and couldn’t wait to tear the packaging and taste. This part not only narrowed the distance between students and teachers, but also deepened the students’ understanding of Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival.

This activity not only gives students a comprehensive understanding of China’s Mid-Autumn Festival, but also increases students’ interest in Chinese traditional culture, all students expressed their great expectations for the next Chinese culture experience class.
