Taste Mooncake, Express Emotion ——LUCI Celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival

当地时间9月16-17日,拉脱维亚大学孔子学院本部师生共同庆祝了象征着团圆与祝福的中国传统节日——中秋节。

成人初级班汉语教师邹亚平为学生们讲解了“嫦娥奔月”、“玉兔捣药”、“吴刚伐桂”等与中秋传说,并以一段生动有趣的视频更为直观的介绍了中秋的起源、发展及饮食文化。“举头望明月,低头思故乡”,学生们化身为“中秋诗人”,共同朗诵唐诗《静夜思》,体会中秋节的赏月思乡之情。

在成人中级班和高级班的汉语课堂上,汉语教师车俊池向学生介绍了中秋节的起源、发展和意义和习俗,介绍了月亮在中国诗词中的思乡意象,还分享了《后羿射日》《嫦娥奔月》等有趣的神话故事,最后全体学生一同品尝了中秋传统美食——月饼。

孔院少儿班的师生用画画、折纸的方式共同体验中国传统文化与才艺的碰撞。汉语教师焦文静首先播放了介绍中秋节的俄语短片,让学生们了解中秋节的由来、中秋节习俗、中秋节的含义等,接着教师带领学生学习“月亮、月饼、中秋节快乐”等词汇,将汉语教学与传统文化相结合,让学生既学习了新的语言知识,又感受到中国人明月寄相思的中秋情。最后,同学们不仅合作制作了“中秋节快乐”的祝福标语和手工月饼收纳盒,还共同品尝了来自中国的、不同口味的月饼。

传统节日是中华文化的载体,这次庆中秋的活动通过多样的形式,让学生感受到中国人对家乡、亲人那份无法割舍的思念和热爱,既丰富了汉语课堂的教学,又加深了他们对中国文化的了解。

On September 16-17, local time in Latvia, the Confucius Institute at the University of Latvia held a Mid-Autumn Festival cultural experience event.

Chinese teacher of the beginners class of adult-Zou Yaping, first explained to the students the legends of the Mid-Autumn Festival, then she let students understand the Mid-Autumn Festival more intuitively through a vivid and interesting video: including origin, development and food culture. “Looking at the moon, looking down on the hometown”, the student turned into “the Mid-Autumn Festival poet”, and jointly recited the Tang poetry “Quiet Night Thinking” to experience the feelings of homesickness.

In the intermediate group and advanced group of adult, the Chinese teacher Che Junchi introduced the origin, development, purpose and custom of the Mid-autumn Festival. And the teacher introduced two interesting myth as well which is related to the Chinese traditional festival——Hou Yi Shoots Down the Suns, Chang E flys to the moon. At the end, all students enjoyed the special dessert——moon cake.

Chinese teacher Jiao Wenjing of Children’s group played a Russian short film introducing the Mid-Autumn Festival, letting students understand the origin of the Mid-Autumn Festival, the Mid-Autumn Festival customs, the meaning of the Mid-Autumn Festival, etc. Then the teacher led the students to learn some new words like “moon, moon cake, Mid-Autumn Festival” The vocabulary combines Chinese teaching with traditional culture, allowing students to learn new linguistic knowledge and feel the Mid-Autumn Festival of Chinese people who misses their hometown for sustenance, misses their loved ones, prays for a good harvest and happiness. Finally, the students not only co-produced the “Happy Mid-Autumn Festival” greeting slogan and the handmade moon cake storage box but also tasted the moon cakes from China with different tastes.

The traditional festival is the carrier of Chinese culture. This celebration of Mid-Autumn Festival allows students to feel the Chinese people’s love and love for their hometowns.It not only enriches the teaching of Chinese, but also deepens their understanding of Chinese culture.
