Confucius Institute at the University of Latvia Participate the Sport Day Program at the University of Latvia
Local time on June 7th in the morning, the Sport Day Program at University of Latvia was held at Ratnieki, a famous scenic spot in Latvia. The Confucius Institute at the University of Latvia organized a team which consist of 15 members to participate enthusiastically.
There were 17 programs with exciting and competitive games, such as Basketball, Football with big ball, Croquet, Star Wars, etc.; interesting intellectual games, such as Checkers, Latvian Board Game, etc.; tacit team games, such as Great Relay Race, Soap, Rafting, etc. The atmosphere was intense and fun, the Confucius Institute Team in the field made concerted efforts and tacit cooperation, while the cheerleaders cheered. The entire event was pushed to a climax with enthusiastic laughter and cheers. In the end, Confucius Institute at the University of Latvia made great achievements in Croquet, Fun Race and Checkers.
It is reported that this activity attracted more than 500 people to participate in the competition. Prof. Shang Quanyu, the Dean in Chinese side of the Confucius Institute at the University of Latvia, said that this activity was very meaningful and enhanced the internal cohesiveness of the Confucius Institute of the University of Latvia and the friendship with other colleges and departments of the University of Latvia.
当地时间6月7日上午，2019年拉脱维亚大学教职工趣味运动会在拉脱维亚著名风景区Ratnieki隆重举行，拉脱维亚孔子学院组织了一支由15名教职工及家属组成的代表队热情参与了本次运动会。
本次趣味运动会共设17个项目，有紧张刺激的对抗型项目，如五人篮球、趣味足球、槌球、星球大战等；有趣味横生的智力型项目，如跳棋、拉脱维亚桌游等；还有考验默契的团队项目，如趣味接力、肥皂接力、漂流等。运动会现场热闹非凡，赛场上拉脱维亚孔子学院代表队奋力拼搏，尽情挥洒汗水，场下啦啦队更是不遗余力为参赛选手加油助威，整个运动会在欢声笑语中迎来了一波又一波的高潮。最终拉脱维亚孔子学院代表队在槌球、趣味赛跑、跳棋等项目中取得了不错的成绩。
据悉，本次趣味运动会共吸引了500余人前来参赛。拉脱维亚大学孔子学院中方院长尚劝余教授表示本次活动非常有意义，有利于增进孔子学院的内部凝聚力以及与拉脱维亚大学其他学院及部门的友好联系。
