LUCI’s Handsome Man Lies Better Shines at 10th European CI Student Theatre Festival / 拉大孔院微电影《蓄意温柔》亮相第十届欧洲孔院大学生戏剧节并获好评

2026年7月3日至4日，第十届”欧洲孔子学院大学生戏剧节”在德国法兰克福举行。法兰克福孔子学院德方院长王魏萌(Werum-Wang)与中方院长金日出席开幕式并致辞，向来自多国的师生表示欢迎。拉脱维亚大学孔子学院中方院长何东及夫人陶丽萍代表拉大孔院应邀参会。

本次戏剧节历时一天半，设表演工作坊、当代中国女性剧作家讲座及团队展演三大板块，汇聚德国、拉脱维亚、比利时、中国四国10部作品，逾百人次参与。拉大孔院选送作品为22分钟微电影《蓄意温柔》，由公派教师郭萌冉执导，演职人员包括Kristīne Formanicka、Linda L. Putāne、Daniels Dadzitis、Darja Larsene及郭萌冉老师。该片是本届戏剧节唯一以微电影形式展映的参赛作品，借青年视角展开跨文化叙事，现场放映反响热烈，深受各国观众与评委好评。

值得一提的是，曾于2013至2018年担任拉大孔院公派教师及院长助理的比利时列日孔子学院公派教师董芳，此次亦率列日孔院代表团参加活动，与老友重逢成为佳话。

参演《蓄意温柔》的拉大孔院学生将受邀参加今年8月在中国举办的”戏剧夏令营”，进行更深入的学习与交流。此次活动不仅彰显了拉大孔院汉语教学与文化传播的成果，也为中欧青年搭建了多元文化对话的艺术桥梁。

The 10th European Confucius Institute (CI) Student Theatre Festival took place in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, on 3rd–4th July 2026. Ms. Werum-Wang, German Co-Director, and Jin Ri, Chinese Co-Director of the Confucius Institute at Frankfurt, delivered opening remarks welcoming participants. He Dong, Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute at the University of Latvia (LUCI), together with Mrs.He（Tao Liping）, attended the event as representatives.

Spanning one and a half days, the festival offered a voice-and-flow workshop, a lecture on contemporary Chinese women dramatists, and 10 performances from China, Germany, Latvia and Belgium, attracting over 100 participants. LUCI presented the 22-minute student micro-film Handsome Man Lies Better (Intentionally Gentle), directed by Chinese teacher Guo Mengran, with cast and crew: Kristīne Formanicka, Linda L. Putāne, Daniels Dadzitis, Darja Larsene, and teacher Guo Mengran. As the only micro-film screened at the festival, it portrayed vivid cross-cultural stories through youthful lenses and received warm applause and high acclaim from the international audience.

Also in attendance was Dong Fang, a Chinese teacher from the Confucius Institute at the University of Liège (Belgium), who previously served as a Chinese teacher and Assistant Director at LUCI (2013–2018) and led her team to the festival — a joyful reunion across institutes.

Students from Handsome Man Lies Better have been invited to join the “Drama Summer Camp” in China this August for further theatrical exchange. The festival not only showcased LUCI’s achievements in Chinese language education and cultural promotion, but also strengthened artistic and cultural ties between Latvian youth and Chinese culture.
