Jekabpils State Gymnasium Awarded Chinese Volunteer Teacher Yang Caiyun with A Badge of Honor and A Letter of Appreciation

On the morning of July 20, 2023, principal Valerjans Vizulis, deputy principal Dace Druveniece, and secretary Laima Avota of Jekabpils State Gymnasium gave a farewell dinner for Yang Caiyun, the Chinese teacher who is about to leave Latvia and return to China. They had a tea break in the principal’s office. First of all, the principal awarded Yang Caiyun with the badge of honor of the school and a letter of appreciation. The school is very grateful to Yang Caiyun for her outstanding teaching work in the past school year with high professional quality and full enthusiasm, constantly cultivating students’ interest in Chinese language and culture, and enabling students to achieve good results. The school expressed its satisfaction with this cooperation.

Teacher Yang Caiyun is very grateful for this. With enthusiasm, across thousands of mountains and rivers to come to Latvia as overseas gardener, Yang Caiyun did down-to-earth work and realized her values. In the future work, she will never forget the original intention and forge ahead.

Finally, they talked about the work and life of the past year together.The deputy principal Dace Druveniece is about to go to China to attend the Chinese Language and Culture Seminar For Latvia. They are looking forward to this great trip. They hope that the flower of Chinese language will continue to flourish here, and they also hope that they will continue to be a bridge of friendship between China and Latvia.

2023年7月20日上午，叶卡布皮尔斯中学校长Valerjans Vizulis，副校长Dace Druveniece, 以及秘书Laima Avota为即将离任回国的汉语教师杨彩云饯行。四人在校长办公室进行茶歇会，首先，校长给杨彩云颁发了学校的荣誉徽章和感谢信，学校很感谢杨彩云老师在过去一学年来以较高的专业素质和饱满的热情出色的完成了教学任务，不断培养学生对中国语言和文化的兴趣，让学生取得良好的成绩。学校表示对这段合作感到很满意。

杨彩云老师对此非常感激，怀揣一腔热忱，跨越千山万水做海外的园丁，踏踏实实工作，实现小小的价值，表示在今后的工作中会继续不忘初心，砥砺前行。

最后，大家一起畅谈这一年的工作和生活，副校长即将启程去中国参加拉脱维亚中国语言文化研修班，大家对此表示期待。希望汉语之花在这里继续盛放，也希望我们继续做中拉友谊的桥梁，即使在方寸之间，也努力发光发热。
