LUCI Attended International Conference in Sibiu

From 10th to 12th November 2022, two directors from Confucius Institute at Univeristy of Latvia, Peteris Pildegovics and Shang Quanyu, attended the 15th Anniversary International Conference in Sibiu. Confucius Institute at Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu, established in 2007 jointly by Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu and Beijing Language and Culture University, is the first Confucius Institute in Romania with great achievement during its the 15 years of development.

In the session of CI Directors Roundtable Forum, Peteris Pildegovics and Shang Quanyu made brief introduction of LUCI and presentation of major challenges and solutions (teaching sites, teaching staff and teaching materials) in LUCI Chinese language teaching.  LUCI had a fruitful discussion and interaction with directors Silvia Florea and Wang Jiong from Confucius Institute at Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu,directors Luminița Bălan and Zhou Jialei from Confucius Institute at University of Bucharest, directors Roxana Rîbu and Wang Bing from Confucius Institute at Transilvania University of Brasov, Chinese director Feng Shaozhong and project manager Smaranda Moldovan from Confucius Institute at Babes-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca, Chinese director Wang Yanjie from Confucius Classroom at Constanta, Chinese director Liang Qing from Instituto Confucio at Universita Cattolica del Sacro Cuore,Italy, in addition to giving English version of My China Story to each as gift.

This international conference deepened the mutual understanding between the participating Confucius Institutes, enhanced their friendship and strengthened their cooperation.

2022年11月10-12日，拉脱维亚大学孔子学院两位院长贝德高和尚劝余应邀出席罗马尼亚锡比乌孔子学院十五周年国际会议。锡比乌孔子学院成立于2007年，是锡比乌大学和北京语言大学共建的孔子学院，也是罗马尼亚最早的孔子学院，十五年来取得了丰硕的成果。

贝德高和尚劝余在“院长论坛”环节对拉脱维亚大学孔子学院做了介绍，并从教学点、教师和教材三个方面就孔子学院汉语教学面临的主要挑战和应对措施做了发言，与出席论坛活动的锡比乌孔子学院罗方院长Silvia Florea及中方院长王冏 、布加勒斯特大学孔子学院罗方院长白罗米（Luminița Bălan）及中方院长周佳磊、布拉索夫特兰西瓦尼亚大学孔院罗方院长Roxana Rîbu及中方院长王冰、克鲁日巴比什博雅依大学孔子学院中方院长冯少中及项目主管Smaranda Moldovan、康斯坦察孔子课堂中方院长王彦杰、意大利圣心孔院中方院长梁清等进行了交流和互动，并给大家签名赠送《我的中国故事》英文版。

此次国际会议加深了与会孔子学院之间的相互了解，增进了友谊，强化了合作。
