LUCI Book Donation Activity was held on the Eve of the UN ICL Day

On April 13, 2022, upon the upcoming of the United Nations International Chinese Day, Confucius Institute at University of Latvia presented books to Academic Library of University of Latvia. Director of Academic Library of University of Latvia Venta Kocere, Former Director of  Policy Coordination Department of Ministry of Education and Science of Latvia Dace Ratniece, Latvian Director Peteris Pildegovics, Chinese Director Shang Quanyu, Secretary Anastasija Galkina and Local Chinese Teacher Madara Smalka of  Confucius Institute at University of Latvia attended the book donation activity.

The books donated this time include The 10th Anniversary of Confucius Institute at University of Latvia (Edited by Shang Quanyu, Peteris Pildegovics, Marija Jurso, University of Latvia Press, 2021), Research of Chinese Language Teaching in Latvia (Edited by Shang Quanyu, Wang Qiongzi, Peteris Pildegovics, University of Latvia Press, 2019), Exploration of Chinese Language Teaching in Latvia (Edited by Shang Quanyu, Peteris Pildegovics, Wang Lei, Wang Qiongzi, University of Latvia Press, 2021), Latvian version of My Chinese Story (Authored by Peteris Pildegovics, University of Latvia Press, 2019), Chinese version of My China Story (Authored by Peteris Pildegovics, translated by Shang Quanyu, etc., University of Latvia Press, 2021), Russian version of My China Story (Authored by Peteris Pildegovics, translated by Elen Pildegovic, University of Latvia Press, 2022) and English version of My China Story (Authored by Peteris Pildegovics, translated by Anita Jaunzeme, University of Latvia Press, 2022) etc.

Academic Library of University of Latvia is one of the oldest and most famous libraries in Latvia. It is well-known throughout the country for its collection of rare books. It is also the location of Confucius Institute at University of Latvia classrooms. The book donation is one of the series of activities of Confucius Institute at University of Latvia to celebrate UN International Chinese Day and thus is of great significance.

拉大孔院赠书活动在联合国国际中文日前夕举行

2022年4月13日，适值联合国国际中文日前夕，拉脱维亚大学孔子学院向拉脱维亚大学学术图书馆赠送图书。拉脱维亚大学学术图书馆馆长温达（Venta Kocere）、前拉脱维亚教育和科学部政策协调处处长黛丝（Dace Ratniece）、拉脱维亚大学孔子学院拉方院长贝德高（Peteris Pildegovics）、中方院长尚劝余、秘书高安娜（Anastasija Galkina）、教师马笑笑（Madara Smalka）等出席了赠书活动。

此次赠送的书籍有《拉脱维亚大学孔子学院十周年纪念册》（尚劝余、贝德高、玛丽娅主编，拉脱维亚大学出版社，2021年）、《拉脱维亚汉语教学研究》（尚劝余、王琼子、贝德高主编，拉脱维亚大学出版社，2019年）、《拉脱维亚汉语教学探索》（尚劝余、贝德高、王蕾、王琼子主编，拉脱维亚大学出版社，2021年）、《我的中国故事》拉语版（贝德高著，拉脱维亚大学出版社，2019年）、《我的中国故事》汉语版（贝德高著、尚劝余等译，拉脱维亚大学出版社，2021年）、《我的中国故事》俄语版（贝德高著、艾玲Elen Pildegovic译，拉脱维亚大学出版社，2022年）和《我的中国故事》英语版（贝德高著、安妮达Anita Jaunzeme译，拉脱维亚大学出版社，2022年）等。

拉脱维亚大学学术图书馆是拉脱维亚最古老和最著名的图书馆之一，以珍藏珍本图书而享誉全国，同时也是拉脱维亚大学孔子学院教室所在地。此次赠书活动，是拉脱维亚大学孔子学院庆祝国际中文日系列活动之一，具有重要的意义。
