Students of the Faculty of Humanities of LU Celebrating Mid-Autumn Festival

On October 2nd, 2020 local time, which coincided with the full moon in Riga, the teachers and students of the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Latvia celebrated the traditional Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival. The local Chinese teacher Karina organized and presided over the event. Karina shared with the freshman and sophomore students the legend of Chang E Flying to The Moon and Jade Rabbit Making Heavenly Medicine, and watched the Mid-Autumn Festival theme video “Share the Moon Together” produced by the Ministry of Culture, China. The students tasted the moon cakes presented by the Confucius Institute and discussed the fascinating details about the Mid-Autumn Festival. In the collision of taste buds and wisdom, they deepened both their experience and understanding of traditional Chinese culture.
