Faculty of Humanities at University of Latvia celebrates the Mid-Autumn Festival

当地时间2019年9月18-19日,拉脱维亚大学人文学院举办了两场以“迎中秋,品月饼,写书法”为主题的中秋庆祝活动。人文学院教师王琼子针对不同的年级的学生,开展了不同类型的活动。

对于刚开始学习汉语的大学一年级学生来说,这是她们第一次接触“中秋”这个节日。首先,结合介绍中秋的视频,王老师声情并茂地讲解了中秋节的来历、中秋节吃月饼赏月的习俗,引起了学生们的浓厚兴趣。随后,大家一起吃着甜甜的月饼,听着美妙的歌曲,其乐融融。另外,中秋节也是一个丰收团圆的节日,王老师还让学生们把拉脱维亚的传统节日和中秋节进行了有趣的对比,整个活动洋溢着欢声笑语。

对大学二年级的学生来说,这是第二次参加庆祝中秋节的活动,所以,王老师引入中国书法元素,大家一边写书法,一边品美味的月饼,体会中国传统文化的美。中国书法的张弛之美和月饼的香甜可口荡漾在同学们心里,让她们直呼“太有意思了”。一位学生开心地说:“一年一度的中秋节让我觉得学习中文好幸福,就像这月饼的味道一样,甜甜蜜蜜的。”

通过活动,人文学院的学生们感受到了中秋活动的乐趣,加深了对中国以及中国传统文化的了解,增进了文化交流。

On September 18-19, local time. Faculty of Humanities at University of Latvia held two Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations featuring the theme of “Welcome Mid-Autumn Festival, Mooncakes, and Calligraphy”. Wang Qiongzi, a Chinese teacher of Faculty of Humanities at University of Latvia, has carried out different types of activities for students of different grades.

For the first-year university students who just started learning Chinese, this is their first time to contact the Mid-Autumn Festival. First of all, combined with the introduction of the Mid-Autumn Festival video, Ms.Wang eloquently explained the origins of the Mid-Autumn Festival and the custom of eating moon cakes to enjoy the moon in the Mid-Autumn Festival, which aroused the students’ strong interest. Later, everyone ate sweet moon cakes and listened to beautiful songs. In addition, the Mid-Autumn Festival is also a festival of  reunion. Ms.Wang also let the students compare the traditional festivals of Latvia with the Mid-Autumn Festival. The whole event is full of laughter and happiness.

For the second year of university students, this is the second time to participate in the celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival. Therefore, Ms.Wang introduced Chinese calligraphy elements. Everyone writes calligraphy and tastes delicious moon cakes to appreciate the beauty of Chinese traditional culture. The beauty of Chinese calligraphy and the sweetness of moon cakes are in the hearts of the students, ” One student said happily: “The annual Mid-Autumn Festival makes me feel that learning Chinese is so happy, just like the taste of this sweet moon cake.”

Through the activities, the students of Faculty of Humanities at University of Latvia felt the fun of the Mid-Autumn Festival activities, deepened their understanding of China and Chinese traditional culture, and enhanced cultural exchanges.
