At 14:10 PM local time on October 29, Jaunmārupe Primary School Chinese class held a activity to introduce pandas. The event was attended by teachers and students of the Chinese language class at Jaunmārupe Primary of Latvia. At the beginning of the event, the teacher introduced the panda, including the panda’s life habits and growth process, to the students through PPT demonstrations and video playback. The animated video of the giant panda caused the students to make bursts of excitement. “So cute” is the most common sentence that children say after reading the panda’s introduction. After the introduction of the panda, the students raised their hands and asked the teacher questions about the Panda. For example, what did the panda eat as a child? Are they eat bamboo too?  Are there many pandas in China?Have you ever seen one before? The classroom was full of joy. The children’s eyes revealed their love for pandas and could not wait to see China’s cutest Panda. Then after introducing the panda, the teacher showed some pictures of the panda and gave the students blank paper. The students freely painted the most cutest panda in their eyes on the paper and write down Chinese words”panda”. The children can’t wait to getting into the painting and paint the most adorable panda in their hearts. Fifteen minutes later, the students showed the pandas they painted to the class and selected their favorite Panda works. Finally, under the guidance of the teacher, the students themselves put the panda paintings on the clipboard at the back of the classroom and on the clipboard in the hallway outside the classroom, which attracted the other students in this school, and talked about this lovely Panda from China. And tried to read Chinese: “Panda”, the children from the Chinese class also became the Chinese language teacher of the non-Chinese students in this school.
