Riga No.34 Secondary School Confucius Classroom Lantern Festival Experience Activity

拉脱维亚当地时间2018年3月5日,“欢天喜地闹元宵,大红灯笼高高照”里加34中学孔子课堂元宵节体验活动正在热火朝天地进行着。

活动在拉脱维亚大学孔子学院志愿者吴炜老师对元宵节习俗的介绍下拉开了帷幕。吴炜老师用汉语和英语为学生介绍了元宵节的时间、意义以及各式欢乐的庆祝活动;学生们听得津津有味。接下来,大家一起动手制作了传统喜庆的大灯笼。学生在老师的分步指导下,利用多种颜色的硬卡纸,用剪刀裁出各种形状和纹样,折叠、弯曲并用胶棒粘接成灯笼形状。老师对学生的表现给予了充分的肯定。最后,学生们在灯笼上写下自己的名字,并兴奋地承诺要教父母和朋友们做灯笼。教室里红红火火,热热闹闹,尽是节日的喜庆。

此次活动以春节为背景、元宵节为主题,带领学生体验了中国传统的元宵节,进行了一次欢乐的文化之旅,让学生对元宵节、对中国文化有了更深层次的了解。

Wu Wei, Chinese volunteer teacher from Confucius Institute at Latvia University, introduced in Chinese and English about the time of Lantern Festival’s, its meaning and all kinds of happy celebrations during this festival. Students listened with relish. Next, everyone started hand-crafted traditional lanterns. Students under the guidance of the teacher doing it step by step, the use of multi-color cardboard, cut with scissors of various shapes and patterns, folding, bending and glue into a lantern shape. The teacher fully affirmed the student’s performance. Finally, the students wrote their names on lanterns and were excited to promise that they would teach their parents and friends how to make the lanterns. The classroom is booming, bustling, and full of festive atmosphere.

With the Spring Festival as the background and the Lantern Festival as the theme, the event led students to experience the traditional Chinese Lantern Festival and conducted a joyous cultural journey so that students can have a deeper understanding of the Lantern festival and Chinese culture.
