The Opening Ceremony of “笔舞墨歌”Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition Was Held at the National Library of Latvia

当地时间12月15日晚,《笔舞墨歌》书画展在拉脱维亚国家图书馆开幕。本次书画展由拉脱维亚大学孔子学院、“飞笔中国画工作室”、拉脱维亚国家图书馆主办。拉脱维亚孔子学院汉语教师、志愿者以及拉脱维亚和中国各界艺术爱好者参加了本次书画展开幕式。

开幕式由曾在中国留学的国家图书馆工作人员叶春萌主持。“飞笔工作室”负责人白凯夏作主旨演讲,她表示非常感谢拉脱维亚大学孔子学院的支持与帮助,希望通过中国书画这座美丽的桥梁,能将拉脱维亚人民和中国文化联系得更紧密。

在开幕式上,拉脱维亚大学孔子学院公派教师董芳用拉语发表致辞,感谢拉脱维亚国家图书馆多次举办“飞笔工作室”作品展览,为中拉文化艺术交流做出了杰出贡献,同时也感谢“飞笔工作室”培养了不少中国绘画方面的人才,并对“飞笔画室”负责人叶卡捷琳娜女士和她的学生表示崇高的敬意。

本次《笔舞墨歌》书画展的所有作品都由“飞笔工作室”的学员们创作,他们都是拉脱维亚人,他们也都有一个共同的特点–喜爱中国文化。学员们表示,虽然画作并不完美,但是他们都非常享受汉字和中国国画给他们带来的“美”的感受。

“飞笔中国画工作室”是拉脱维亚唯一经过教育部认可的教授中国传统绘画的机构,培养了不少中国绘画方面的人才,为中拉两国艺术文化交流做出了很大贡献。

On the evening of December 15th local time. The “笔舞墨歌”calligraphy and painting exhibition was held at the National Library of Latvia. The exhibition is sponsored by Confucius Institute at the University of Latvia, Flying Brush Studio and Latvian National Library. Chinese teacher ,volunteer teachers of LUCI ,art fans from Latvia and China participated in the opening ceremony.

The National Library staff Ye Chunmeng (Chinese name) who has studied in China for years hosted this opening ceremony . Bai Kaixia (Chinese name), the director of Flying Brush Studio made a keynote speech. She express her appreciate for the support and help of LUCI. She said,” We hope that people from Latvia could have more connection with Chinese cultural through Chinese painting and calligraphy.”

At the opening ceremony, LUCI Chinese teacher Dong Fang delivered a speech to thank the National Library of Latvia for holding a number of Flying Brush Studio exhibition, made outstanding contribution to facilitating cultural exchanges between China and Latvia. Also, thank the Flying Brush Studio discovered a lot of Latvian talents to learn Chinese painting and calligraphy.

All of these works are completed by students of Flying Brush Studio, all of them are Latvian. They also have a common feature– love Chinese culture. They said that although their works are not as perfect as Chinese arts , they do very enjoy the wonderful feeling which are brought from Chinese painting and calligraphy.

The Flying Brush Studio is the only one Latvian institution which accredited by the Ministry of Education to teach traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy.  They trained many talents in Chinese painting and calligraphy, therefore, they made a great contribution to the art and culture exchanges between China and Latvia.
