Orientation Meeting for 2016 Summer Camp of LUKI to China was Held Successfully

At 5:00pm on 1st of July, 2016. Orientation meeting for 2016 summer camp of Confucius  Institute  at University of Latvia to China was held at Room 411 of  Confucius Institute classroom. Chinese director, Prof. Shang Quanyu, group leader Dong Fang, volunteer teacher Cheng Xue, campers and their parents attented this meeting.

The meeting started with the self-introduction of group leader, and campers were getting familiar with each other. Next, group leader introduced about meeting time and place of departure, summer camp agenda and tips.

In the session of Q&A, campers and their parents asked some questions, and director Shang and group leader Dong answered their questions one by one.

In the end, director Shang emphasized the importance of this summer camp. All campers will attend the Opening Ceremony of Confucius Institute Summer Camp of 16 Central-Eastern European Countries at Hanban/Confucius Institute Headquarters and give a performance. More importantly, this November, the 5th“16+1”summit will be held in Riga, Latvia. So the year of 2016 is quite special for both Latvia and Confucius Institute and all campers bear an important mission.All campers expressed their feelings of honor to jion this summer camp.

The meeting ended with the rehearsal of the performance to be given in Beijing and all campers expressed their expectation for the summer camp in their farewell to director Shang and group leader Dong.
