Successful Holding of the 2026 Spring Festival Celebration and the Launch Ceremony of Professor Pēteris Pildegovičs’ Selected Translations of Song Ci at the Confucius Institute at the University of Latvia / 拉脱维亚大学孔子学院2026年春节庆典暨贝德高教授《宋词选译》新书发布会成功举办

当地时间2026年2月27日，拉脱维亚大学孔子学院2026年春节庆典暨贝德高教授《宋词选译》新书发布会于该校大礼堂成功举办。活动由拉脱维亚大学孔子学院主办，留华同学会会长、拉大汉语教师卡琳娜与汉语教师刘一霖共同主持。

中国驻拉脱维亚大使唐松根阁下，国防武官范胜球大校及夫人何希女士，里加中国文化中心主任周斌先生及夫人周爱莲女士，爱沙尼亚塔林大学孔子学院中方院长谢心阳教授，文茨皮尔斯大学校长安德烈·瓦伊瓦德（Andris Vaivads）教授，新华社里加分社首席记者陈玉芬女士，拉脱维亚华人华侨联合会有关领导等嘉宾，以及孔子学院师生、中拉各界友好人士等400余人出席活动。

活动伊始，主持人向现场来宾致以新春问候。拉脱维亚大学孔子学院外方院长贝德高教授、中方院长何东教授共同致欢迎词，向全体来宾送上新春祝福；随后，唐松根大使发表致辞，介绍了中国春节的传统内涵与文化底蕴，祝贺贝德高教授《宋词选译》一书顺利出版，并为现场中拉友人送上新春美好祝福。

新书揭幕后，精彩纷呈的文艺表演依次上演。表演以《宋词选译》经典词作朗诵开篇，婉转的语调传递出中华古典文学的独特韵味；随后，中文歌曲、舞蹈、古筝二重奏、武术、扇子舞等节目轮番呈现，孔院师生的精彩演绎将现场氛围一次次推向高潮。表演间隙，云春晚视频征集颁奖、最美宿舍颁奖环节有序开展，进一步丰富了活动内容，获得现场来宾的广泛关注。

本次活动内容丰富、氛围热烈，既以新春庆典为载体为在拉华人华侨营造了团圆祥和的节日氛围，也通过新书发布、文艺表演为拉脱维亚民众搭建了了解中华优秀传统文化的平台。《宋词选译》的发布为中拉文化交流注入新活力，彰显了拉大孔院的文化桥梁纽带作用，获现场来宾高度评价。

On February 27, 2026 (local time), the 2026 Spring Festival Celebration and the launch of Professor Pēteris Pildegovičs’ Selected Translations of Song Ci were held at the auditorium of the University of Latvia. Hosted by the Confucius Institute at the University of Latvia(LUCI), the event was co-hosted by Karina, President of the Chinese Alumni Association and Chinese teacher at the university, and Liu Yilin, Chinese teacher, Chinese Language Teacher at LUCI.

Guests included Mr. Tang Songgen, Ambassador of the Chinese Embassy in Latvia, Mr. Fan Shengqiu, Military Attache, and his wife Ms. He Xi, Mr. Zhou Bin, Director of the Chinese Cultural Centre in Riga, and his wife Ms. Zhou Ailian, Professor Xie Xinyang, Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute at Tallinn University in Estonia, Professor Andris Vaivads, Rector of Ventspils University, Ms. Chen Yufen, Chief Correspondent of Xinhua News Agency Riga Bureau, and relevant leaders of the Latvian Chinese Overseas Chinese Federation. Over 400 people attended, including Confucius Institute teachers and students, and Chinese and Latvian friends from all walks of life.

At the start, the hosts extended Spring Festival greetings. Professor Pēteris Pildegovičs (Latvian Director) and Professor He Dong (Chinese Director) of the Confucius Institute delivered a joint welcome speech and Spring Festival wishes. Then Ambassador Tang Songgen delivered a speech, introduced the Chinese Spring Festival, congratulated Professor Pēteris Pildegovičs on his new book, and wished all Chinese and Latvian friends a happy Spring Festival.

Following the speeches, the core session of the event—the launch of Selected Translations of Song Ci—began. Professor Pēteris Pildegovičs and Professor He Dong took the stage to celebrate the book’s publication. They introduced the background and cultural significance of Song Ci, recognized the book’s important role and far-reaching influence in China-Latvia translation, and expressed their hope that this translation would serve as a bond to build a new bridge for literary exchanges and mutual learning between China and Latvia.The audience applauded warmly.

After the book launch, a series of wonderful cultural performances were staged in succession.The performance opened with the recitation of classic Song Ci poems from the book, showing the charm of Chinese classical literature. Then Chinese songs, dances, guzheng duet, martial arts and fan dance were performed. The Confucius Institute teachers and students’ performances excited the audience. During the intermission, the “Cloud Spring Festival Gala” video competition and “Most Beautiful Dormitory” awards were presented, enriching the event and attracting great attention.

The event was rich and warm. It created a festive atmosphere for overseas Chinese in Latvia and offered Latvians a platform to learn about Chinese traditional culture. The launch of Selected Translations of Song Ci boosted China-Latvia cultural exchanges, showed the Confucius Institute’s role as a cultural bridge, and was highly praised by the guests.
